Job description
As a Work Planner / Production Planner, you play a key role in optimizing production processes and ensuring timely delivery of orders. You translate customer requirements into efficient production methods while balancing capacity, materials, and timelines.
Your responsibilities include:
- Prepare and review production orders (operations, hours, materials, components) and align deviations with production, sales, and procurement.
- Analyze requirements and assess feasibility, manufacturability, and make-or-buy decisions.
- Optimize production methods, materials, and equipment; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and manage production and assembly schedules, considering capacity, materials, and workforce.
- Monitor planning and identify bottlenecks; implement or propose effective solutions.
- Define work methods and task times for new products and maintain/update Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Manage changes in planning, including rush orders, backorders, and delivery adjustments; communicate impacts to sales.
- Initiate procurement of materials for tools and provide technical support for quality issues and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate administration (ERP data, article management, documentation, and registration of hours and materials)
